The Northwest Cancer Patient Summits (NWCS) are live, interactive, and free cancer education events designed to educate community members about various aspects of managing health after a cancer diagnosis. The 6th NWCS will be held at the Health Education Center at PeaceHealth St. Joseph Hospital on March 16, 2019, from 1 - 4 pm in Bellingham, WA. Topics for the upcoming NWCS include new updates in immunotherapy, targeted therapy, red flags you need to know for cancer recurrence, and how to avoid going broke while getting cancer treatment.

In small nonprofits, the lines between working Boards and minimal staff are often blurred. How can we navigate the tension between governance and operations when resources are sparse and duties often overlap? As with any relationship, the keys are respect, communication, and care. Letís talk about ways to build healthy relationships so we can focus on the mission, not the conflict. Kirk Roberts is co-owner of Free Range Nonprofit Solutions in Bellingham, where he serves as Executive Director for three nonprofits and helps various organizations build capacity. Kirk has served as an ED for nearly 20 years and has worked in the nonprofit community longer than he would care to remember.
