Thursday Evening Balkan Folk Dancing

Bellingham's Fourth Corner Folk Dancers meet Thursday evenings from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Fairhaven Branch Library. We focus mainly on Eastern European dances, but include Israeli, Greek, and Turkish dances as well as those from the Balkans. We have an exciting new teaching component as well as a structured early evening leading to requests after the teaching. This has been well received, and has created some very energetic and exciting evenings.

Fairhaven Family Story Night with the Bellingham Storyteller's Guild

Children, For the Family, Community Event, Class/Workshop

Bellingham Storytellers Guild Third Friday

Experimental/Perf. Art

Third Friday Storytelling at the Fairhaven Library Fireplace Room. Doors Open at 6 pm, concert begins at 6:30 pm. The tellers of the Bellingham Storytellers Guild are especially excited about this monthís offerings. Our Third Friday event falls on the exact evening of the Winter Solstice. All of the tellers have prepared very special stories for the longest night of the year. Stories of the coming light, of magic and miracles from around the world. Balkan Folk Dancing Thursday Evenings

Country/Folk

Balkan Folk Dancing happens every Thursday evening (except Thanksgiving) from 7 to 9:30 PM. The music is from our extensive collection of ethnic music, and includes Bulgarian, Romanian, Macedonian, Romany and also Greek, Turkish and Israeli folk music. No partner is necessary as most dances are line or circle dances, and no experience is necessary as dances are always being taught.

Bellingham Contra Dance

Bellingham Contra Dance on Saturday, January 12 featuring Northern Contraband with Maureen Collier from Vancouver BC calling. Come to Fairhaven Library in Bellingham from 7:00pm - 10:30pm with the Beginnerís Workshop at 7pm. Suggested Donations are $10 - $15 (Students $7 suggested donation). Please refrain from wearing fragrances and scented products. Bring your re-useable water bottle for hydration, Dances are on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Saturdays of the month September through May. Check our website for special and extra dances throughout the season. Looking forward to seeing you on the dance floor.
