Downtown Market Walk

Food/Tasting

Stroll the streets for all the eats. Taste your way through Bellingham’s unique markets and specialty food shops and eat local, from local businesses. Samples & specials at each stop. Start at the Downtown Co-op, meander to any stop you want next. Play “market walk” bingo for the chance to win local food prizes. Buying local food from local businesses keeps dollars here in our community and supports the folks who have built Bellingham into the beautiful community we all love.

Downtown Market Walk at the Co-op

Americana/Roots

Visit the store for music at 1:30 am Tracy Spring (folk); 1:30 pm Louis Ledford (Americana Roots). Additionally, you can experience samples and specials from Sauk Farm: dried Honeycrisp apples, grape cider, and apple cider. We'll have grilled Uli's Famous Sausage, and other samples throughout the store. At the Bakery Cafe Patio you can listen to music from 3 to 4:30 pm: Threefer featuring Chuck Dingee, Sharon Mayson, and Katie Weed. The Bakery Cafe Patio will have specials all day. $1 Flying Bird iced tea, housemade lemonade, housemade tea palmers. $2 Toddy double shots. Kid Activities from 3-4: 30 pm. Fun with Felix!

Food Preservation Workshop

Food/Tasting

Gardeners, produce lovers, and community members alike will learn how to preserve their in-season abundance from a local preservation expert. Cut down on food waste and increase food reserves for the whole year. Learn about different food preservation techniques, and which ones work best for produce that is overabundant in our area. We’ll dive into pickling, fermenting, and freezing and end with a delicious live demo. Get ideas on how to squatch food waste and never let a tomato go moldy again. Free - space is limited so reserve your spot.
