The emerging artists of Opus Performing Arts proudly display this year's progress in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip hop and more. This performance highlights the instructional aspect of the school as students present skills and knowledge acquired throughout the year. Opus’ Spring Showcase includes original works by artistic director Brooke Evans and faculty members Celeste Hartsook, Tara Reiter, Tatyana Stahler and Diane Williams. Building from their classical ballet training, the program will include a contemporary ballet piece from Ballet V/VI students to display their versatility.

Michael Feinstein: Shaken & Stirred with Special Guest Storm Large

Pull out your evening wear for a top-notch night when Mount Baker Theatre welcomes one of music’s major forces to our Main Stage. Michael Feinstein has built a dazzling career as a singer and pianist bringing the music of the Great American Songbook to the world. Expect musical greatness from this powerhouse artist who has garnered five Grammy Award nominations; Emmy-nominated PBS TV specials; an acclaimed NPR series; and appearances at the White House, Buckingham Palace, Hollywood Bowl, Carnegie Hall, and the Sydney Opera House. Swan Lake is the world’s most beloved ballet due to Tchaikovsky’s iconic score, spectacular costuming, and scenic designs. Julia Schwartz stars in the dual role of Odette and Odile, and guest dancer Alberto Gaspar stars as Prince Siegfried. Swan Lake’s mist-filled rows of 16 exquisite swans is an ethereal vision that will linger in viewers’ memories long after the show. MBT MCT: Jack & The Beanstalk

Come cheer on the Missoula Children's Theatre campers! The children will be showing off their new theatre skills learned during a week at camp while performing Jack & The Beanstalk. What happens when a young boy plants Wonder Beans in his own backyard? For Jack, it is the beginning of a great adventure. With a little help from P.T. Wonder and a Giant, Jack learns a valuable lesson about true happiness. This musical production also features a host of other characters, including the Elegant Harp, Jill, Mother, Milky White, the Farmers, the Merchants, the Circus Performers and the Wonder Beans.

Although set in a “land of colored ice,” this classic tale will warm your heart in its illustrative retelling by a group of fun-loving, imaginative hobgoblins. As they depict the journey of a young girl and her quest to find her best friend, you may just find yourself believing in malevolent mirrors, yetis, talking reindeer, and snow chickens! Blizzards can come at any moment, so strap on some snowshoes and get ready to discover what it takes to overcome chilling obstacles, keep resilience alive, and melt down the Snow Queen’s icy walls.

MBT MCT: Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

Come cheer on the Missoula Children's Theatre campers! The children will be showing off their new theatre skills learned during a week at camp while performing Snow White. An original adaptation of the classic fairy tale, a young princess named Show White finds herself in peril when her step-mother, the Queen, is told by her Magic Mirror that the princess is fairer than she! Aided by her two Henchmen and a band of evil Bats, the Queen plots to get rid of Snow White. Snow White escapes from the Queen and from the Black Forest Creatures with help from Witless the Woodsman, and finds a home with the Seven Dwarfs. When the Queen learns of Snow White’s whereabouts, she attempts to poison Snow White. But, the Queen’s evil plans are thwarted when Snow White’s fearless Forest Friends, her father King Backwards, the Seven Dwarfs and the Prince come to her rescue.
