So Lucky is a profoundly personal and emphatically political story of a confident woman forced to confront an unnerving new reality when in a single week her wife leaves her and she is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. Each Chuckanut Radio Hour includes guest authors, musicians, performance poet Kevin Murphy, and episodes of "As the Ham Turns" serial radio comedy, not to mention groaner jokes by hosts Paul Hanson, Kelly Evert, and announcer Rich Donnelly.

Tides: The Science & Spirit of the Ocean paperback release. Jonathan White takes his audiences on an enthralling journey into the surprising and poetic workings of the tide. Jonathan may also briefly discuss his newest project, tracking the story of the recently discovered Western Flyer, the boat that carried John Steinbeck and Ed Rickets to the Sea of Cortez, and their journey as documented by Steinbeck in The Log of the Sea of Cortez.

In Buzz, Thor Hanson takes us on a journey that begins 125 million years ago, when a wasp first dared to feed pollen to its young. Buzz shows us why all bees are wonders to celebrate and protect. Read this book and youll never overlook them again. Thor Hanson is a conservation biologist and Guggenheim fellow. He lives with his wife and son on an island in Washington State.
