Allied Arts Annual Member’s Show

Allied Arts Annual Member’s Show: February 1 – 23, 2019. Opening Reception: Friday, February 1, 6pm – 9pm. Gallery Hours: Monday - Friday 10am - 5pm, Saturday 12 - 5pm. Allied Arts of Whatcom County will host its 2019 Members Show in February. Participation is open to all current Allied Arts Members at any level of membership. Visit alliedarts.org for more information about how to submit your work for this show. The Member’s Show will feature work from nearly 100 Allied Arts members, including professional artists, students, and new or emerging artists. Works presented will range from traditional paintings to photography to contemporary sculptures and everything in between. Allied Arts is a non-profit gallery, proceeds from sales go to support the arts in our community. 2019 Whatcom READS! Art Challenge & Exhibit

Artists wanted! Whatcom READS and Allied Arts of Whatcom County present the 2019 Whatcom READS Art Challenge. We challenge artists to create works inspired by the novel “The Big Burn” by Timothy Egan. The exhibit is open to artists of all genres, mediums, and skill levels. After reading the book, artists create a piece in a medium of their choice that is inspired by the story. For more information go to: www.alliedarts.org or www.whatcomreads.org. It’s easy to participate. 1. Read the book "The Big Burn" by Timothy Egan available at your local library or purchase at Village Books. 2. Create an art piece and explain how the book inspired your art. 3. Submit your work to be exhibited at Allied Arts in March 2019. Opening Reception: Friday, March 1, 2019, 6pm - 9pm. Allied Arts Gallery Exhibit Dates: March 1 - 30, 2019.
