2018 Gallery Series: Theme and Texture

Art Show

Allied Arts of Whatcom County’s 2018 Gallery Series will display a collection of works representing each artists’ dedication to a certain subject matter or media. Theme and Texture will feature artists Jan Landin, Julia Martin, Nancy Thomson, Vikki Jackson, and Lyn Jackson, as they explore their individual passions and inspirations. Theme and Texture will be displayed from November 2nd through December 1 2018, following its opening reception on November 2nd from 6 to 9p.m. The Allied Arts Gallery is dedicated to providing a professional space for local artists of every background and experience level to present and sell their work, supporting the arts and artists of Bellingham’s community. Allied Arts Holiday Festival Showcase

December 7 - 20, 2018. Opening Reception: Friday, December 7, 6 - 9 pm. Gallery Hours: Monday thru Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday noon to 5 p.m. Our annual Holiday Festival of the Arts has been a Whatcom County tradition for 39 years and we are going to make it even bigger. In addition to the festival taking place at 1530 Cornwall Avenue, there will also be a showcase of fine art and craft by select Holiday Festival vendors at our gallery downtown. This is a great opportunity to see larger original and showpiece works by some of our wonderful vendors. This exhibit will take place December 7 - 20, 2018 at the Allied Arts gallery located at 1418 Cornwall Ave, Downtown Bellingham. The Allied Arts Gallery’s goal is to provide a professional space for local established and emerging artists to show and sell their work and sustain the arts in our community. 2019 Whatcom READS! Art Challenge & Exhibit

Artists wanted! Whatcom READS and Allied Arts of Whatcom County present the 2019 Whatcom READS Art Challenge. We challenge artists to create works inspired by the novel “The Big Burn” by Timothy Egan. The exhibit is open to artists of all genres, mediums, and skill levels. After reading the book, artists create a piece in a medium of their choice that is inspired by the story. For more information go to: or It’s easy to participate. 1. Read the book "The Big Burn" by Timothy Egan available at your local library or purchase at Village Books. 2. Create an art piece and explain how the book inspired your art. 3.
