House Concert with Ron Rondello


Ron Rondello has been an active classical guitarist in Whatcom County since arriving in 1976. Ron received a B.A. in the performing arts in classical guitar from Western Washington University in 1980 and has performed and taught guitar extensively throughout the years. He is one of the founding members of the Northwest Classical Guitar Society that was formed in 1992 and has been an active member, performing there many times, and helping it to thrive ever since. Ron will be performing pieces from Spain and Latin America in this coming recital. Doors open at 7 pm. No advance ticket sales.

Homemade for the Holidays: Culinary Treasures


Facilitated by Kamea Black. Pre-registration requested by Email: In this class you will learn the beautiful process of making infused culinary salts, spiced honey, delicious cooking oils and simple alcohol infusions. Come gain hands on experience so that you know what you are looking, smelling and tasting for when creating your own culinary treasures at home. These creations are wonderful additions to our own kitchens, but also fantastic gifts for your loved ones this holiday season. The course will conclude with inexpensive ideas for gift presentation as well as Kameaís dos and doníts for using re-purposed containers for food gift items. All participants will enjoy samples of demonstration items and leave with the set of Culinary Treasure recipes as well as one of the gifts made in class.

Handmade Holiday Decorations for Kids


This will be an open house format, come & go as you please. No pre-registration required. By donation. All proceeds will benefit Chuckanut Center. For kids 6-10 years old (approximately). Parents will be expected to help their child as needed. We will use yarn, twigs and wood pieces to make ornaments for holiday tree decorations. Facilitated by Steve & Kathie Wilson, retired preschool teachers from Childlife Montessori School.

Seasonal Side Dishes: Winter Edition


Facilitated by Kamea Black. Pre-registration requested by Email: Tired of making the same traditional side dishes for your holiday feast? Come to the winter edition of Seasonal Side Dishes and learn practical skills that will empower you to showcase the Pacific Northwest on your table. Participants will start the afternoon off with a decedent sugar free holiday mocktail and mixing demonstration. Afterwards the class will be guided through an interactive cooking session that will result in three delicious local side dishes that the group will devour together. All participants will enjoy a complimentary mocktail as well as generous samples of the demonstration items, and leave with a set of recipes from the class.

Family concert with Pam Sinnett


A time to sing together familiar folk tunes, new tunes to tuck in your pocket and take home, songs to make us laugh, lullabies and more. Pamís retired from Samish School and has led family concerts and sing-alongs in classrooms around town for over 30 years.
