Antholt builds hanging pieces with Nepalese paper then uses the power of the sun and a magnifying glass to burn holes in specific patterns occasionally coloring with gold leaf or ink. In this way she marks time and place in a meditative art form.

Talley’s prints of barns evoke the Skagit Valley with a beautifully graphic quality, and Sandvig’s ceramic sculptures of animals recall the “Peaceable Kingdom” of her prior work.

i.e. is pleased to present the woodblock prints of Seattle artist Judy Talley, and new ceramic work from Elizabeth Sandvig, one of the Pacific Northwest's most respected artists. Talley’s prints of barns evoke the Skagit Valley with a beautifully graphic quality, and Sandvig’s ceramic sculptures of animals recall the “Peaceable Kingdom” of her prior work. An Opening Reception for the two artists will be held Saturday, July 6th, from 4-6 pm. Join us for light refreshments and some tunes by the Mother Pluckers, a 12-piece ukulele group that counts Talley and Sandvig among its members.
