Luther Schutz, Elisha Gullixson, John Anderson and Drew Baddeley


Join Luther Schutz, Elisha Gullixson and Drew Baddeley for an intimate evening of vocal jazz standards. Luther, a retired ER physician and long time Skagit County resident, has been singing non stop since the age of six. Over the years he has explored many different vocal genres. (He is a founding member of “Midlife Crisis”). For the last several years he has been entranced by the “Great American Songbook”, and has put out a well received CD of jazz standards. Elisha has been playing piano since 1947. He has a committed respect for the discipline and joys of jazz and is a gifted soloist and accompanist.

Mojo Cannon and the 13th St. Horns


Mojo Cannon – returns with their original powerhouse lineup with Bob Virkelyst & Jana Swenson on lead vocals. Y’all are in for a treat! The longstanding band members include Stanwood’s own killer blues guitarist, Steve Raible, Robert Barabas, keyboards and the talented rhythm section made up of Jim Brandt on bass, rhythm guitarist Mark Strom, drummer Steve Thompson, along with the powerhouse 13th Street Horns, featuring Warm Beach resident Craig “T-Bone” Daly on trombone, David Bernhardt on trumpet, John Coffey on tenor and baritone saxes. Put your dancing shoes on and come out to party with this NW favorite, Mojo Cannon in the Bard Room at The Muse.

Open Mic - A great opportunity for those that want to try out their new stuff on a professional stage where the best local, national and intentional performers love to play. Many others have that started out at open mic through the years we’ve been doing this. Blue Moon Marquee is the duo of A.W. Cardinal and Jasmine Colette. Their sound is largely influenced by old delta blues, swing, jazz and ragtime.

Fanny Alger and the Dizzys

Fanny Alger - is a high energy rock band from Skagit County, Washington. The Dizzys - were formed from the remnants of the rockabilly band, “The Alley Gaterz,” in Mount Vernon, WA, in the Spring of 2017. The Dizzys retained their rockabilly roots, but they infused elements of rock, folk, country, and blues into their reimagined sound.

Lonesome Town Painters


The Lonesome Town Painters are Vancouver’s traditional bluegrass standard-bearers. Playing an eclectic mix of songs about love and loss, the odd original, and gospel, The Lonesome Town Painters would be equally at home in the barroom on Saturday night and the next morning’s church service, comfortable treading that fine line between perdition and salvation.

Johnny Burgin – The World Wide West Side Guitar Man


Johnny Burgin, The World Wide West Side Guitar Man, is one of the hardest touring and well recognized traditional Chicago blues guitarists and singers today. Johnny was recently nominated for a BMA for his work on "Howlin' at Greaseland", a tribute to blues legend Howlin' Wolf. This appearance at The Conway Muse is part of a 10 day run through the NW from Olympia to Vancouver BC, and is hot on the heels of his month long Japan tour.
