Composer Adam Billings in 9th Annual Welcome Home Concert, Bellingham Festival of Music

In our annual concert recognizing an emerging young musician from the Pacific Northwest who received his early training here, we will present composer Adam Billings, now studying composition at the Juilliard School. Adam’s original works will be performed by Western Washington University faculty and student musicians as well as a pianist who is a fellow Juilliard student. Adam is currently in his third year of undergraduate study at The Juilliard School, where he studies with much admired composer and teacher Dr. Robert Beaser on scholarship. Adam’s music reflects his everyday life, combining natural sounds with a minimalist, rhythmic style to create unique works of art.
