Whatcom Conservation District Annual Native Plant Sale & Expo

Expo/Trade Show, For the Family, Nature

Spring is Coming. The District’s Annual Native Plant Sale has been providing low cost, native plants to the residents and visitors of Whatcom County for more than two decades. This year we have over 40 species of native, bare-root trees, shrubs, and perennials. For the first time, we will be accepting pre-orders, online only and have discontinued the old paper forms. Since 1993, the purpose of the sale has been to promote stewardship of our natural resources and help get native plants in the ground. The Expo is a great family friendly event with local nurseries offering even more plant choices and community education groups enlightening you about local issues. The plant sale is a great place to kick-start your spring gardening. Whether you are a native plant enthusiast, backyard gardener, farmer, landscape professional, conservationist, or just looking for a family-friendly spring event. As always, we strive to create a fun atmosphere and speedy check-out line! Credit cards accepted.Come early for the best selection. New to 2019 – We are currently accepting pre-orders for plants sold in bundles through our online store. Pre-orders must be made by Monday, March 11 and require a $100.00 minimum purchase. Pre-orders can be picked up before the open sale on Friday, March 22 between 9:00am-3:00pm, or at the open sale on Saturday, March 23 between 9:00am-2:00pm.
