Bring your broken household items to the SkillShare Space at the Central Library and work with skilled volunteers from NW Free Repairs to learn how to repair them. Volunteers have experience repairing common household items such as toys, small kitchen appliances, electric tools and many other items that would otherwise end up in a landfill. Please note: broken items may not be dropped off to be repaired. Owners must be willing to participate in making the repairs with the assistance of the volunteers. When constructing the foreground, artist Neal Cronic will cover depth of field, color choices, subject matter and placement. Interested in following along with Neal as he paints? Chair Tai Chi uses all of the concepts and flowing choreographed movements of standing Tai Chi except it is performed in a seated position. It is often called “Meditation in Motion” because it connects the mind and the body to achieve health and well-being. In this session, the presenter will teach the participants a set of movements that can be done at home. Take-home materials will be provided.
