Smithsonian Film Screening: The Day We Walked On the Moon

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, join the Whatcom Museum in the Rotunda Room of Old City Hall for a special moon landing film screening of the Smithsonian Channel movie “The Day We Walked On the Moon.” The documentary tells the story of this defining moment in our history. Interviews with key figures in Mission Control, contemporary astronauts and the families of Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong shine a light on the mission’s dangers and how close it came to failure.
