13th Annual 2019 Warbirds and Classic Aircraft Over Whatcom

Community Event, Education, For the Family

Bell Air R/C Flyers invites you to a celebration of military and classic aircraft on Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28th each day beginning at 9 a.m. with flying demonstrations and static displays. As always, there is no charge to the public, and food will be available to purchase to help support the club. The military aircraft show will include planes from WW I to the present representing various countries all over the world. For example, the famed “Red Baron,” the Fokker Tri plane and most of the advanced jet aircraft of today will be there to watch in the air or on display. This year we are also including classic aircraft up to 1960 historical names of Beechcraft, Stinson, Stearman, Piper, Funk, and many others during this time period that have helped to develop general aviation as we know it today. New this year, will be the availability for the public to ‘fly’ an actual RC model, even if you have never done this before. (Again, no charge). We have instructors within the club to assist you with your flight. We will also have the availability of a “flight simulator” for kids and adults alike to try. Please come out to the field on the Red River Road in Ferndale (near the Silver Reef Casino off Slater) and enjoy a nice day of history and flying with the Bell Air R/C Flyers, a club that has been in existence since 1948. Visit our web page for more information about this event and our club.
