Artists Who Happen to be Veterans

Art Show

Bank of the Pacific 100 Grand Avenue Bellingham presents the opening of ďArtists Who Happen to be Veterans." Sponsor of the Downtown Art Walk, Bank of the Pacific, invites you Friday April 5 from 6 to 9 PM to join us for appetizers and art from Michael Heath, Tom McCalla, Wade Marlow, and Brian Griffin with music from DJ Jimmie C. Michael, Tom, Wade and Brian were all artists before they served in the military, collectively serving from 1950 to 2019. They continue to create art work to this day. In putting this show together, it is interesting to note that many prominent people were both artists and Veterans including Winston Churchill and U.S. Presidents Grant, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Carter and George W. Bush. Other artists who also served their country in the military include Claude Monet, Paul Klee, Norman Rockwell, Roy Lichtenstein, Hoyt Sherman, Robert King, David Marsh and the list goes on and on. Music with DJ Jimmy C, a laid back but passionate lover of music, versed in oldies, 80ís and modern pop. If you are unable to be with us for the opening you are invited to stop by the branch Monday through Friday 9 to 5 since the art will remain up until April 30.
