Reflections on the Election by Political Gurus Cathy Allen and Randy Pepple

Bellingham City Club, a forum for community engagement, will feature Cathy Allen (Democrat) and Randy Pepple (Republican) in a panel discussion giving their insights into the results of our 2018 Election. The program follows lunch shared with fellow community members at Northwood Hall. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. Tickets are available via Brown Paper Tickets and on our website at Cathy Allen is the VP of Education & Training for the National Womenís Political Caucus. Over several decades she has helped recruit, train and elect women in 49 countries all over the world. Also the President of Seattle-based The Connections Group, Inc., Cathy is a frequent political commentator for PBS, NBC, and CNN. As a consultant and womenís advisor to the National Democratic Institute and State Department, she has co-written books and manuals on the need and know-how for women to lead where they land. She started the Center for Women & Democracy (CWD) in 2000 to help women learn from each other Ė locally and globally. Cathy anchors CWDís annual celebration of women leaders at the Governorís Mansion event in March. Randy J. Pepple is a strategic communications professional with three decades of experience in public affairs consulting, policy advocacy, media relations, and political campaigns. Pepple is executive director of the Reform Alliance, a non-profit policy advocacy group he co-founded with former Washington State Attorney General Rob McKenna. Pepple also served as CEO of the Northwest offices of the multinational communications consultancy Hill & Knowlton and was chief of staff to U.S. Rep. Rick White of Washington. He has advised candidates, political committees, and party organizations in Washington and Oregon, along with public agencies and Fortune 50 companies.
