Opening Doors: From Prejudice to Inclusion

Community Event

Join us for a free community vegetarian meal followed by a multidisciplinary program including history, song, art, and psychology designed to address prejudice and embrace inclusion. Insight from the lessons of history. Inspiration by local artists from Bellingham and WWU. Interaction using tools of counseling psychology. The presenters include Dr. Paul Englesberg, educator and historian; the well-loved singer and songwriter Linda Allen; WWU art student Carly McCartney, and local mental health professionals Dr. Nina Spadaro, Rives Thornton, and Andrea Beilner. The pace will be fast, the message strong, and participants will come away with insight, inspiration, and a way of continuing compassionate interaction.
