Fire Mountain Stampede

General, Other, Children, Health & Wellness/Nutrition

The Boy Scouts of America, Mount Baker Council is hosting Stampede. Summer is over, school is back in session, and kids are spending more time indoors and less time being active. Itís a yearly process and while school is important, so is playing, exploring, and engaging with nature and fellow kids. Trying to balance work and play is difficult, but it doesnít have to be. Stampede allows kids the chance to get out of their seats and enjoy a full 7 hours of outdoor discovery; activities begin at 9 a.m. and go until 4 p.m. with a break from noon to 1 p.m. for a 2 dollar hot dog lunch. A few of the many Stampede activities offered are archery and a chance to shoot BB guns at the shooting range. Admission is complimentary and is open to all boys and girls in kindergarten through 5th grade. Whether you stay for an hour or stay for the whole day, Stampede is a great way to experience the fun of Scouting and enjoy the great outdoors before the cold weather really sets in. Visit BeaScout.org to find a unit near you to see what other adventures Scouting has to offer. For more information, contact the Everett Service Center at the number 425-338-0380.
