Bellingham's 29th annual Wild Mushroom Show is at the Bloedel Donovan Community Building (2214 Electric Ave, Bellingham). Every fall, Pacific Northwest forests and fields are filled with thousands of different kinds of mushrooms. You can experience hundreds of them at this fun, family event. ~Study beautiful displays of locally collected mushrooms ~Bring mushrooms from your own backyard for identification ~Hear mushroom talks by local experts and surprise guests ~Learn to identify common mushrooms, both edible and poisonous ~Taste safe and savory wild mushrooms ~Visit the "touch and smell" table for hands-on fun with fungi ~Enjoy coloring and crafts at a children's activity table ~Browse and purchase mushroom field guides and other books ~Cultivate your own fungi with kits from local Cascadia Mushrooms The Northwest Mushroomers Association promotes the understanding and appreciation of mushrooms and the study of mycology in Whatcom, Skagit, and Island counties. Yearlong NMA membership is $25 for families and $15 for students. Join us!
