In the yoga world we often think about breathing bio-mechanically and psycho-socially, but we don’t often explore our breath bio-chemically. In this course we will explore what the science of respiratory physiology has to say about breathing, bio-chemistry, and our health. We’ll also study what the ancient yogic texts have to say about the practice of pranayama, which is one of the most potent and transformative tools of yoga practice. Wednesdays: Oct 10, 17, 24, and 31.
