Whatcom County Prosecuting Attorney Match-up

Two candidates are vying for the Whatcom County Prosecuting Attorney seat held for nearly 47 years by our current retiring prosecutor, Dave S. McEachran. Whatcom County Chief Criminal Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Eric Richey will square off against Bellingham City Attorney James Erb at Bellingham City Clubís Candidate Forum. The forum follows a delicious lunch shared with fellow community members. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. and tickets are available via Brown Paper Tickets and on our website at bellinghamcityclub.org. Candidates will have the opportunity to give an opening statement, respond to questions from our moderator as well as questions from City Club members. Whatcom County Prosecuting Attorney is an elected position, partisan, with a 4-year term. Duties are established by state constitution and statutes. The annual salary for the position is $169,022. The public is welcome to attend this event, but only members are allowed to ask the candidates questions. Becoming a member is encouraged. Bellingham City Clubís mission is to inform, connect, and engage our community to strengthen the civic health of our region.
