Pickett House Museum

Education, Tour

Come tour Captain George E Pickett's 1856 home on Peabody Hill. This is the oldest, documented, wooden structure on its original site in the state of Washington and was built with planks from the 1853 Roeder Peabody sawmill on Whatcom Creek. It was here that his son James Tilton Pickett was born. Later as a Major General in the Civil War, Pickett led the infamous Charge at Gettysburg, July 3, 1856.
